If you're from Brazil, you've probably been bombarded with Instagram stories and TV shows mentioning Coldplay's tour in the country. On March 13th, I had the chance to attend one of the concerts and I must admit I was really impressed not only by the lights, firework and all the attractions they bring to the stage, but to their approach to sustainability.
Such attitude inspired me and I decided to write a lesson about it using authentic material from the concert!
Before sharing the link to the lesson, I'd like to talk about lesson planning and creativity, if I may: I have seen many teachers complain about lack of creativity when planning their lessons and I've been down that road as well. My way out of this state of inertia was to find inspiration outside the areas I was used to. Lately, I feel much more interested by topics where culture and life lessons can be learned in tandem with language. There was a time when I used to see these things separately, but not anymore.

Summary of the lesson: This is a B1 receptive skills lesson in which Ss will have the chance to learn new vocabulary, practice listening and reading skills. At the end of the lesson, Ss will have the chance to discuss about environmentally friendly alternatives for big events such as this one.
